HostedDatabase.com makes it very simple to (1) append or (2) replace data by re-uploading new data into an existing database.

(1) Append Data
You can append, or add new data to an existing HostedDatabase.com database by logging into your HostedDatabase.com Control Panel, clicking on "Upload data to an existing database," and uploading the .csv (comma delimited) file. Here are some requirements for the .csv file:

1. The first line of data in the file that you are about to upload may contain the field names, although it is not required. If the field names are included in the first line of the file, then the field names should be exactly identical to the names of the current fields of the database to which you are uploading data. If the field names are not identical, then HostedDatabase.com will read the first line of your file as data, not as field names.
   
   
2. The file should match your HostedDatabase.com database to which you wish to re-upload data in the following ways:
   1. The number of fields ("columns")
   2. The order of the fields
   3. The data type of each individual field (ex: text, numeric without decimal, numeric with decimal, money, date)
   4. The length of each individual field if the field is of data type "text"; otherwise, the data will be truncated or cut off.

(2) Replace data
If you want to replace the data existing in your HostedDatabase.com database with the data you wish to re-upload, then log into your HostedDatabase.com Control Panel, click on "Delete all data from a database," and delete all the existing data. Then, follow the same instructions as above for re-uploading new data into your database.
