AMULET Development Corp. is pleased to announce the launch of
www.OpenDatabase.info,
a new genre of Internet resource - The Open Database Project - an open, public and entirely free to use data
repository. The new service is powered by the HostedDatabase.com web database engine.
With OpenDatabase.info, public users may easily upload and publish structured data content using the Web Database
Publishing Wizard process. Other users may then search through the data and optionally add to it or download it. HostedDatabase.com offers free Standard accounts for publishing and maintaining databases participating in The Open
Database Project.
The site's homepage resembles a search engine for data content. Business users can easily publish databases
describing the company such as product lists, store locations, public events, etc. Personal users may publish
data content pertaining to family reunions, sports leagues, historical facts, science data, etc. Publishers of data
content may simply pass along search keywords to interested parties so they may quickly locate a particular database.
Owners of blogs, social networking pages, or personal web pages may easily integrate an Open Database Project search
box by utilizing special HTML code available at OpenDatabase.info.
A Word From the CEO
“The newly launched OpenDatabase.info represents an important innovation for our company by adding a significant
new entry to the open web content movement. It also demonstrates how our HostedDatabase.com web database engine can
be morphed into many diverse arenas," says Dan D. Gutierrez, AMULET’s founder and CEO. “We anticipate that many users
from around the globe will take advantage of the free and open nature of the site to publish data content that represents their businesses,
favorite charities, and personal endeavors.”
